Field Trip – Heritage Studies Class K3

The Heritage Studies Master's Class K3 experienced a remarkable field trip with the Archaeology course, focusing on exploring cultural heritage at two important sites: the National Assembly Tunnel Museum and the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Relic Site.

National Assembly Bunker Museum – Archaeological Treasures Beneath the Roof of the National Assembly

The National Assembly Basement Museum is located in the basement of the National Assembly building, with a total area of over 3,700 square meters. This is where archaeological discoveries from the pre-Thang Long period are displayed, including the Dai La period (7th - 9th century) and the Dinh - Tien Le period (10th century). The Ly, Tran and Le periods are also recreated in the space inside the museum, with simulations of the Ly Dynasty palace architecture, similar to the excavation context. The melange of historical relics and documents with mapping technology, media, graphics and modern lighting creates an attractive museum, worth visiting at least once.

The Imperial Citadel of Thang Long is not only a famous tourist destination but also a journey back to the golden past of the country.
